The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is a regulatory body  established in terms of Section 2 of Act No. 44 of 2000. SACAP regulate the architectural profession by setting up standards for architecture education, training, registration and ethical and professional conduct.

Position: Administrator: Registrations 

Role description

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

·       Process all registration applications according to Section 18 read with Section 19 of the Architectural Profession Act, Registration policy, and standard operating procedures;

·       Process Registration, Re-registration, and Reinstatement applications, on the MM system as per the standard operating procedures;

·       Retrieve online applications for Registration, Re-registration, Reinstatement and capture them on the online system;

·       Conduct pre-assessment reviews of all registration applications and update profiles of registered persons;

·       Generate monthly reports and summaries related to registration activities

·       Manage and maintain a register and ensure that information of all registered persons is accurate;

·       Handle all registration queries and provide accurate information in person and via phone/email to all stakeholders;

·       Act as relief at the front desk by answering and directing all phone calls to relevant employees within SACAP;

·     Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the register of candidates and registered professionals;

·       Provide administrative support to the Management of the department;

·       Develop weekly Registration reports;

 

Requirements

·       Grade 12 (Senior Certificate)

·       Post-matric: Diploma or National Diploma /Degree in Administration or similar.

·       Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience

·       Excellent Communication skills – both written and oral;

·       Able to work to a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision;

·       Excellent organisational skills;

·       Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands and circumstances;

·       Amiable yet resilient character – able to deal with external and internal stakeholders in a polite, professional, and positive manner.

In this position you will be reporting to the Senior Manager Professional Statutory Services.
